What happens if your plans change, for BookingQuad-managed homes and for partner listings.
Effective date: July 21, 2026
Enquiries on BookingQuad are free and carry no commitment. Cancellation terms only come into play once you and the operator of a home have agreed a booking. This page explains how that works and what to check before you pay anything.
Sending an enquiry through the site does not reserve a room and does not cost anything. You can stop responding to an enquiry at any point before a booking is agreed, with no charge. BookingQuad never charges renters a fee for enquiring.
For homes managed by our own operations team, the exact cancellation terms, including notice periods, deposit handling, and any minimum stay, are set out in the booking agreement you receive before you pay anything. Read it before confirming. As a rule:
Partner homes are operated by independent operators named on the listing. Their own booking and cancellation terms apply, and those terms may differ from ours. Before paying a deposit or rent for a partner home, ask the operator for their cancellation policy in writing and keep a copy.
If an operator cancels an agreed booking, your refund rights are set by the agreement you made with them and by local law. If a BookingQuad-managed booking is cancelled by us before move-in, amounts you have paid to us for that booking are refunded. If you have trouble resolving a cancellation with a partner operator you found through BookingQuad, tell us at info@bookingquad.com; we cannot decide the dispute for you, but we take patterns of complaints into account when deciding which partners stay on the site.
Not sure what applies to a home you are looking at? Email info@bookingquad.com before you book and we will point you to the right terms.
